Sage Francis

Sage is the latest newcomer on Anticon. Which explains why he's preparing an LP for that label, and I guess that's good news.

Hello, sirs. My name is Sage Francis of the group Non-Prophets. I have been doing this rap crap since I was 8. I have competed in poetry slams nationally for the past 3 years. I am the winner of battles and I have a few recordings under my belt. I have done an album with Buck, Sixtoo and ADeeM. I have done a song with Sole. I am heading to Canada with Sole and we will be recording more stuff together which is my connection to Anticon I
guess. ADeeM and I are the ones who hold down the east coast as far as live
shows are concerned.

I have 2 twelve inch singles, one distributed by Fat Beats called "Drop Bass" b/w "Bounce" and "I Keep Calling" which you can hear at www.Non-Prophets.com and I have a new single being distributed by Landspeed called "All Word No Play" b/w "Majority Rule" and "The Whore Monger Sing-Along" which you can also hear at that same website.

I have a live band called AOI that I play a lot of shows with which you can hear at http://www.sagefrancis.com/music/live/live.htm We released a 16 song CD in 1997 I released a 90 minute tape called "Sick of Waiting" which you can hear and see reviewed at http://www.hiphopinfinity.com/Underground/index2a.htm

I have just recently released an hour long CD called "Still Sick" which features Slug, Apathy, Edan, and Sixtoo. I have managed to keep that material off the net so far. But if you go to Napster and type in "Sage Francis" you can actually get spoken word pieces of mine that I've done on the radio along with anything else I have ever released or done on the radio.
I don't know if you're into such things.

Anyway...I have done a few things in my day and I plan on doing more. I don't know what type of info you need from me so I don't want to waste any more of your time talking about this shit if this is not what you want.
